Aerenal: An Island of Elves Civilisation, Magic and Vampirism

In this blog we are going to tell you about Island of Elves Civilisation, so read this blog carefully to get the complete information.

Aerenal is a small island continent to the southeast of Khorvaire that is mostly inhabited by elves. When the enormous civilisation of Xen’drik crumbled, the elven race fled to Aerenal. The Undying Court is in charge of Aerenal, which is its own country.

    Location of Aerenal

The islands of Aerenal lay here between landmasses of Khorvaire & Argonnessen, approximately at Eberron’s tropics, and straddle the Thunder Sea or the Dragonreach.

    A Legendary Island

Aerenal is the historic island kingdom of the Aereni dwarves, who derive their name from Aeren, a legendary hero who is supposed to have rescued the elves from the Xen’drik monsters.

In the Unwavering Court, it is indeed home to the immortals. A small population of Tairnadal elves, in contrast to the Aereni elves, live in Aerenal’s northern plains, although they have gone to Valenar.

Few non-elves visit the little continent because of dread of the “walking dead” as well as the Aereni elves’ reclusive mentality. While the Aereni hate the formation of undead, unlike ghosts, the deathless of Aerenal derive power from positive instead of negative energy and thus are normally in good alignment.

The Undying Court’s continuance is considered to be made possible by a perceptible zone of Irian. The sourwood tree, whose wood is used to create aircraft ships, and the necromantical powered Covadis plant grow in abundance in Aerenal’s thickly forested terrain.

The elven lines that make up Aerenal are diverse. Each line descends from one of the clans who adopted Xen’drik prophet Aeren.

Ranges are more like a city-state than a single family, with several diverse families connected together through common history & led by a single prominent family. Nobles may be bred as occurs frequently, however membership in a prominent family is not passed down down the generations. What an elf does determines whether or not he or she becomes a noble.

    Family Line, Marriage and Burial

Nobles in Aereni don’t even reproduce within their own house; rather, they reproduce with other members of the household, spreading noble blood across the population. The Aerenal, unlike humans, solely marry for love. Anyone can join the Everlasting Court if they achieve greatness in life.

The elves have mastered the skill of resuscitation, and some of them work in Khorvaire’s major cities. When an elf is ready to be buried, two chronicles of the elf’s existence are written: one is placed in the tomb, the other is placed in Shae Mordai’s enormous library. The tombs are located in underground lairs in the towns of Aerenal.

The Government and Rule of Aerenal

Aerenal’s government is divided into two major divisions. The Sibling Kings wield secular power, a status that ought to be shared by a brother and sister. The Undying Court selects these siblings from the Aereni population.

If one of the couple’s siblings dies, the other paces away, allowing the Undying Court to select a new pair of Kings. Balareth (the brother) & Tezaera (the sister) of the Mendyrian line are presently the Sibling Kings.

Religious and Power of the Aerenal

The Undying Court has authority over both religious power and long-term national destiny. The deathless make up this court, which rules from Shae Mordai, the Realm of the Dead. The Aereni revere the Undying Court as a religion, and their faith is strong enough so that the Court’s adherents create spellcasters.

The court also participates in millennia-scale national planning.

    History of Aerenal

The land of Xen’drik was the birthplace of elven society. For thousands of years, the elves were slaves to Xen’drik’s giants. The elves revolted against their enormous overlords 39,000 years ago, starting a fight for independence that both sides lost.

The giants were defeated, as well as the elves were forced to flee and then they would have perished alongside the giants. The elves were escorted away by a prophet named Aeren to the island of Aerenal, which had been named after their commander (who died shortly after arrival).

With the giants gone and no need to battle, the elven tribes began to split out, although they remained in contact with one another, unlike before. With the war over and the arcane wisdom garnered from their previous masters, most elves put down their swords & picked up the route of the book.

Study of Magic, Mystic and Vampirism

The elves devoted themselves to the research of magic, mysticism, & finding a means to keep their elders alive. The elves got fascinated by the skill of necromancy.

The tactics of House Vol, which so many accuse for the spread of necromancy throughout Khorvaire, as well as the practices of the Priests of Transformation, which concentrated on good attitude and the power of Irian, grew to totally dominate vampirism over time.

The Priests of Transition’s path won out, as well as the tribes banded together to join the Undying Court’s cult. The clans became the elves’ aristocratic lines. The Undying Judge has decided the land for centuries.
